    thats hunting for you

LAst weekend was probaly the best hunting weekend I have had in along time.  Between me and five friends of mine we harvested nearly 50 ducks 37 greenheads some black ducks 2 bull pintails and various teal.  With that being said this weekend was the worst I have had this year.  I didnt get out on saturday becasue the mass amout of people at duck bingo, and then today (sunday) i got out in some flooded corn but did not see a single duck and only heard a hand full of shots all day,  But thats why they call it hunting.  With three weeks left in the season harsens island is 2,000 ducks away from having the greatest harvest in twenty years.  The last record was back in 1998 and that was 14,206 ducks.  This will also be a personal best year for me i am only 12 ducks away from a 100 duck year.  So the next couple of weeks will determine everything.

On another note the Canadian goose season is about to re-open and I still dont have anywhere to hunt them, so if anyone knows of some farm land with a goose problem or were I can find them I would appricate it

That's definitely why it's called hunting and not called killing.  Hunting is kind of like golf, you can play like sh** all day and just when it is about time to call it quits you make the shot of your life.  It this shot that keeps you coming back.  Hunting is very much the same way.  One good day of hunting can keep me coming back to sh**ty ones for an entire year.
