Fishing season opened up this last Sunday, but the river was still frozen in places so it didn't make for the best fishing but a few anglers took their rods to the river to try their luck. It has been a steady mix of rain and snow so far all this week with fairly cold temperatures, and while there is still ice in the river, it has been slowly but surely opening up. The sun came out this morning and it is a nice warm day, you can look out the window here and see chunks of ice floating down the river!

WOW! Not going to do too much fishing with that kind of ice build up.  Hopefully things have cleared up since you posted this.  The weather has been nice in Michigan and a lot of guys have been out hammering the early spring walleye run.

Thanks for the concern squirrelnutz but yeah, we're OK now!  The river opened up this week for us and there have been some guys going out in their boats to fish the past couple of days.  There's a couple of pictures of how the river looks now in the report I just posted today if you wanna check them out!
