Big Smile This weekend I am going to set some traps for coons. I just got back from the store all stocked up on marshmellows. Going to use some bucket sets, I will keep you up dated. I saw a couple that looked like they were 30 lbs. I I hope my 160's are up for the task.

Not sure about coons but I have been trapping some red squirrels that were getting into my attic.  So far I am two for two using rat traps.  I actually got to see one in action. I was pulling up to my house in my truck and noticed two red squirrels mousing around my ridge vent by the trap and them WHAM!  I think the trap threw the squirrel 20 feet in the air!

I actually have a coon problem in my area but setting 160's in my neighborhood is going to go over well with the neighbors.  Anyone have some thoughts on the best live traps to snag some coons.  I happen to live next door to a metro park so the coons are freaking huge!

CB375HH, did you catch those in the old cabin? Your place is loaded with those. From what I have read, the fur is prime after Nov. 1. Good luck trapping. For some reason, I seem to have alot of skunks this year.
