I was wondering what some of your guys favorite rifle cartridges where? My is the 375HH for a number of reasons.
1. It can be used on everything from boar and whitetail to elephants and rhinos. It might not be perfect for any of those but it will work with the right bullet.
2. It is very shootable. The recoil is very managable for a large caliber rifle.
3. You can find ammo in any hunting store anywhere in the world. Because of it's usefullness you can find it in Alaska, Africa, Canada, Russia and New Zealand.
4. It generates over 4,300 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle.
5. If you take a 300 grain barnes X and you sight in 2.35 inches high at 100 yards it is dead on at 200 yards and only drops about 9.4 inches at 300 yards. You might be saying thats not that flat but that is the exact same trajectory as a 308 Winchester with a 180 grain barnes X !!!!
6. The last reason is the history behind the round. It has been around for almost 100 years the cartridge was devoloped in 1912 so alot of game has been taken with it.
