    jigging rapalas

i've have recentle bought new jigging rapalas and am wondering how good they are. I have a Freind thats used them for a long time and caught many nice size prech. But I am woundering if i shoulh stay with my old lures that i've caught many nice size prech and some big crappie. my second Guestion is do you think normal bobbers or spring bobbers are better.

    Re: jigging rapalas

ANY LURE MADE BY RAPALA IS A KEEPER IN MY BOOK, AND FOR YOUR SECOND QUESTION I LIKE A SPRING BOBBER BETTER FOR 2 REASONS.

FIRST YOU CAN CHANGE DEPTHS EASIER AND THE SECOND IS WITH A FLOAT BOBBER THE FISH CAN FEEL A RESISTANCE WHEN IT HITS YOUR LURE WHERE THE SPRING BOBBER WILL NOT GIVE ANY RESISTANCE WHEN THERE IS A HIT BY A FISH.

    Re: jigging rapalas

My favorite ice fishing lure is the jigging rapala.  I think that you should use a jigging rapala on one line with your other lures on another.  One reason for this is to find out what the fish are hitting on for that day, and if their hitting the best on the rapala then you can change both poles to rapalas.  One thing about the jigging rapala is that a lot of people say to jig them 1-1.5 feet and that is way too much.  All you have to do is jig them a couple of inches at a time and wait in between.

About the spring bobbers, I use a normal bobber which is stupid, because i think that spring bobbers are a lot better.  Spring bobbers are better because you can reel your line all the way up with out the interference of the bobber.
