    How do you trap woodchucks?

What is the best set for woodchucks? I have heard that cage traps are good. What type of bait should I use though?

Also are conibears or legholds effective or should I just try to stick with a cage trap?

My favorite way is with grippers, 160's or 220's, but I only put them in front of the den.  Cage traps will work, cut an apple in half.  Put half in the trap, smear a trail with the other half leading into the trap. and if you can, find a handful of green clover/grass to line the bottom of the trap.  I like to have the white of the apple showing.  Problem with cage traps, never know whats gonna be in there to be reckoned with.   Hope this helps.
