Well, after a few years of my friends bugging me to apply for a turkey tag I finally did this spring. After the experience I had this past Mother's Day I wish I would have been hunting turkeys since I could hold a gun. Having Turkey-God call in my first wild turkey made my experience that much better, since I've known him aImost my whole life. On Mother's Day morning Turkey-God took me to spot were he had hunted before and was very confident that we would get a good chance at a nice tom. We got in the woods early and the toms were gobbling all over the place just before dawn. With all the gobbling we thought it wouldn't take long before one of those toms came looking for that hen Turkey-God was imitating. But we didn't see a turkey til 9am, but it was just a hen. Then finally around 9:30am another hen came walking up with this nice tom hot on her trial. Turkey-God quickly turned on the video camera while I got into position for about a 25 yard shot. I nailed it with one shot to the neck and I had bagged my first wild turkey thanks to the best dam turkey caller around. It had a 10" beard and both spurs were 7/8"
Thanks again Turkey-God for wonderful experience!
