haven't been fishing that much but we did catch a couple of walleye on the middle channel of the St. Clair river.  Lately we have been fishing for salmon off the piers of Lake Huron with no success for salmon but did catch a 30 inch northern and one underized walleye.  So all in all not much

is there anywhere on the Detroit River to shore fish from and is it worth it to try from shore?  Also do Walleye eat less when they go in to the rivers to spawn like salmon and steelhead?

I have to agree with you on this one squirrelnutz that it is the hunt and not the kill.  I think that going out and getting a deer every once in a while isn't a bad thing either, but going out into a fenced area and passing up 130 class buck so that you can kill a 150 class that is just been way to picky.  I can also see why a person ...

This ice fishing season has resulted in 3 broken rods and i am starting to get fed up with Guide Series rods and Frabill Rods.  Does anybody have any suggestions on what brand of fishing pole i should buy.( looking for walleye and a perch rod).
